Macclesfield Silk Museum receives COVID-19 recovery funding

Thanks to £3.689million funding from the National Heritage Memorial Fund’s COVID-19 Response Fund, eight at-risk listed chapels will undergo urgent repairs before suitable long-term owners are sought.
Thanks to a £1,409,861 grant from the National Heritage Memorial Fund (NHMF), the Science Museum Group and Sheffield Museums Trust will conserve and relocate two nationally significant type collections.
Urgent conservation work will be undertaken at Gunpowder Incorporating Mill ‘L157’ thanks to £420,575 funding from the National Heritage Memorial Fund.
