Acquisition and conservation of the State Bed, Palace of Westminster for conservation at the V&A and return to the Speaker's House. The bed was made in 1858 for the Speaker's House in the new Palace of Westminster but was missing from the Palace until the 1960s when it was bought at an auction for private ownership and use.
